Dr. Erick Miranda is a multi-instrumentalist, concerto competition winner, arranger, composer, educator, and music engraver based in Long Island, NY who is proficient in myriad styles of music. His current appointment is Quality Control Musician at D’Addario Woodwinds. After receiving his D.M.A. in music performance and pedagogy from the University of Colorado Boulder, he accepted the role of founding music director at KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy in Denver Colorado. Notable teachers include Dr. James Bunte, Dr. Greg Riley, Rick VanMatre, Tom Myer, and Jerry Bergonzi. Dr. Miranda also holds a masters in music performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelors in music performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Erick’s most recent project is his debut album titled “Contrasts” which consists of four original transcriptions of pre-existing works throughout different periods in history. The album released Dec. 1st, 2023 on Teal Creek Records.
